‘The Difference is in the Detail’

April 2010

Maris is delighted to announce the commencement of a third design and fit-out project with Petrofac, international provider of facilities solutions to the oil and gas production and processing industries. Petrofac have more than 11,500 employees in 24 offices worldwide, with a diverse customer base comprising national, international and integrated oil companies.

Maris started on site on Monday, 19th April with a 9 week programme for Petrofac Energy Developments Ltd’s new offices on the 2nd Floor of 117 Jermyn Street, following their relocation from Rex House on Regent Street.

Maris has extensive experience of 117 Jermyn Street, having previously fitted-out the 3rd and 4th floors. This building knowledge assisted with eliminating project risk, avoiding unnecessary costs being incurred and ensuring rapid design development.

The design includes a wonderfully upgraded Boardroom consisting of a timber sliding / folding wall, with acoustics above, and extensive bespoke wall panelling. Also included in the specification is decorative works to the Atrium area, including the hoist enclosure.

Maris' Project Director commented, “From our appointment, the design development stage was well executed, with the entire project team keen to push the design forward. We developed the Client’s existing corporate standard finishes and added colour and curves to provide a more modern and exciting solution. The introduction of curved architecture within the reception injected flowing lines which connected the high and low level finishes perfectly. The move away from a linear design solution, as used in Petrofac’s previous fit-outs, injected some real passion into the space and coupled with the addition of cutting edge furniture, elevated the profile of the Reception area.”
