Fast Track Fit-out puts Maris in Pole for Ricardo

Maris Interiors is delighted to announce the completion of Ricardo’s 20,000 sq ft relocation to Cambridge Science Park. Ricardo is a leading provider of technology, product innovation, engineering solutions and strategic consulting to the world's automotive, transport and energy industries. Works started on site on 1st September and have taken 5 weeks to complete.
The brief to create the new Cambridge Technical Centre included not only the high quality refurbishment of the main office and front of house areas but the construction of a ground floor research laboratory, test bench area and testing garage.
An economic cost solution, a track record of delivery and experience with projects of this nature secured the work for Maris. Ricardo’s new offices were designed to showcase their cutting edge technology solutions. The Client facing areas needed to be modern, bright and futuristic. High gloss materials were mixed with bold colours and even “go faster stripes” to add energy to the reception and meeting spaces. The design also made as much use of the existing fit-out as possible to help reduce time and cost.

Working with Ricardo over a 12 month period gave us the benefits of taking full advantage of the property and construction market while designing a new technical facility that would give longevity to a range of research and development projects.
