Maris has ‘The Power’!

Drax Power Limited, the owner and operator of Drax Power Station and the foremost single energy provider in they UK, has appointed Maris Interiors to design and fit-out their first London Office at 41 Moorgate.
Based in Selby, North Yorkshire, Drax required a high quality facility to service their London based clients and also a ‘touch down’ base for their staff.
Maris initially carried out space plans on 2 buildings to assist Drax in their choice, finally settling on Moorgate in the core of the City of London’s financial district.
Currently in serviced offices that no longer meet their requirements, Drax needed an open plan office in which their staff can ‘hot-desk’ during visits to London. The space will include 3 Executive Offices along with 2 Meeting Rooms, 1 Boardroom and an amazing high specification Front of House area complete with walnut entrance doors.
Maris were chosen from 3 fit-out providers due to their excellent design concept and their understanding of the client’s requirements. Maris has recently commenced works on the 6,000 sq ft space on a 4 week fast-track programme.
Maris' Project Director commented, “When our Senior Designer and I visited the power station at Selby, we were highly impressed by the top grade quality offices that Drax had provided for their operational staff. Drax expressed a desire to emulate this at their new London facility and our design delivery gave the synergy they required between the two sites.
Our ‘click’ with the client meant we got our design right first time and due to the speedy delivery required, our Design team forewent a considerable amount of their christmas holiday to prepare the working drawings necessary for the Construction team to start early in the new year and deilver this fast- track project in record time.”
